From midnight - 2 a.m. on May 20, 2011, 250 Disney fans and their guests were invited to a special meet-up at Disney's Hollywood Studios to be among the first to ride the updated Star Tours attraction. Star Wars characters were mingling at the party and a Q&A session was held with Walt Disney Imagineers.
