Missing track on Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom

The track "broken by the yeti" that usually sticks up, stopping the Expedition Everest train was taken down for a few days in June for refurbishment, leaving the rider pulling up to nothing but an end of the track. It seems you're going to go right off the edge when riding in the front row. Also notice the bird, which was recently added back to the ride.
