The first permanent Disney attraction based on the world of Marvel has debuted on the Disney Magic cruise ship. It's Marvel's Avengers Academy, part of the Oceaneer Club that's available for ages 3 to 12 (also open for adult tours during the ship's open house period). Inside, kids step into a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. office and become Avengers recruits to help defeat villains trying to take over the ship, loosely based on the Disney XD animated series. After being sorted into groups associated with the different Avengers, kids begin a 2-day program that includes learning from Captain America and suiting up as Iron Man.
