World Of Color Disney's California Adventure 2022 With Johnny Depp as Captain Jack

This exciting show at Disney's California Adventure uses nearly 1,200 fountains that shoot water up to 200 ft in the air. Scenes and music of some Disney and Pixar favorites are projected onto a 380-foot long screen of mist. Fog, lasers, and flames shooting up to 50 ft make this show exciting. Throw in Ariel, Buzz, and one of our favorite trickster Pirates Captain Jack in and you have a memorable show.

This show is pretty popular so it's helpful to plan ahead and join the virtual queue for World of Color in advance. It isn't required but it is highly recommended. Additional viewing for each performance is located around Paradise Bay on a first-come, first-served basis.

Most of this show is exactly the same from when the show debuted on June 11, 2010. The scenes from the original show that were removed since was a sequence after Pirates composed of the "Firebird Suite" (from Fantasia 2000), "Night on Bald Mountain" (from Fantasia) and "Hellfire" (from The Hunchback of Notre Dame). It was replaced by the temporarily extension Pirates of the Caribbean sequences and has not been restored to the show since 2011.

Another change to the main show(albeit much smaller) since was in the climax of the show, Tarzan was originally shown in the montage of touching scenes from Disney movies, Tarzan was since replaced with Tangled in the exact spot since 2011.
