Sassagoula Floatworks is the only quick service restaurant, and main dining option, at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. The restaurant recently underwent a huge menu overhaul and interior redesign. The dining hall itself is meant to be a workshop where the floats at the annual Mardi Gras parade are stored and worked on throughout the year. The restaurant itself features actual props and designs of real floats used at Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
Sassagoula Floatworks is located in the main lobby area at the main entrance to the resort. The restaurant is open for almost the entire day; it opens at 6am to serve breakfast and stays open until midnight. The lunch and dinner menu is exactly the same and lunch usually begins around 11:30am or 12noon.
Since this is a quick service restaurant, reservations are not accepted and you are free to come and go as you please. The restaurant accepts all Disney Dining Plans and you can either use a meal credit at any time or day or a snack credit for some of the smaller menu items.
