Ride the Monorail through Seattle - Seattle Center Monorail, cousin of Disney monorails

The Seattle Center Monorail is a cousin of the Disney monorails. The Seattle line was built in 1961 as transportation between downtown and the 1962 World's Fair. One of the interesting features of this monorail is the set of ramps at the downtown terminal that extend to reach the train on the outer line. In 1999-2000 the Experience Music Project building enveloped the monorail near the Seattle Center terminal. This shows the view from the front of the train in both directions. Be sure to see the extended ramps at 5:30. As seen Jun 21, 2013.
